NEGRAR (VR): Nel Palio del Recioto, una gara internazionale che si svolge tra le colline della Valpolicella, Florian Kajamini si è classificato in ottima 5ª posizione, seguito da Pavel Novak al 6º posto.
Il team MBH Colpack Ballan CSB ha così ottenuto 2 ottimi piazzamenti in una gara di altissimo livello, per la soddisfazione del team manager Antonio Bevilacqua, di Gabor Deak, Beppe Colleoni e delle famiglie Ballan e D’Aprile.

La competizione, riservata alla categoria Under 23 e classificata come 1.2 UCI, si è conclusa con uno sprint a due sul traguardo di Negrar, città famosa per i suoi vigneti. Il vincitore è stato Alessandro Pinarello, ciclista trevigiano della squadra VF Group Bardiani CSF Faizanè, che ha preceduto Diego Pescador (GW Erco Shimano). La terza posizione è stata conquistata da Sebastian Putz, ciclista austriaco del Tirol KTM Cycling Team, completando così il podio. Kajamini e Novak facevano parte del gruppetto inseguitore, giunto a 36” e composto da 7 unità.
La gara si è svolta su una distanza di 148 km, coperti in 3 ore, 54 minuti e 15 secondi, alla media di 37,985 km/h.

DICHIARAZIONI: Di seguito le parole di Kajamini, atleta emiliano particolarmente forte in salita, che sta trovando la giusta condizione fisica, come programmato.
“Sono soddisfatto per questo importante piazzamento, mi sentivo in forma già dalla mattina e abbiamo corso come squadra compatta. Personalmente ho cercato di attaccare. Ero davanti, ma nel finale ho avuto dei crampi, forse dovuti alla disidratazione. Quando gli attaccanti hanno preso il via, ho avuto un momento di difficoltà. Ho preferito non rischiare per non compromettere la gara, continuando a mantenere il mio ritmo. Poco dopo sono riuscito a riprendermi e Novak mi ha aiutato nella volata. Siamo entrati nella curva nelle prime posizioni, conquistando questo ottimo 5º posto”.
Un risultato prestigioso che si aggiunge a quello ottenuto nella Coppa San Geo lo scorso febbraio. Kajamini aggiunge alcuni dettagli sulla corsa: “Abbiamo lavorato molto bene anche in discesa, un’abilità a cui ho dedicato molto tempo con i tecnici. Almeno sulle strade asciutte, mi sento migliorato. La gara è stata molto nervosa, con molti scatti e saliscendi. Molta tensione e cadute, dovevamo anche avere un po’ di fortuna per rimanere in piedi. Ho avuto momenti difficili”.
L’emiliano sottolinea anche la generosità dei compagni: “Ad un certo punto abbiamo lavorato per ridurre il gap sulla fuga, a 30 km dal traguardo. Pavel sembrava non stare bene, ma si è messo a disposizione della squadra. Alla fine, è rimasto persino in testa, dimostrando il suo vero talento”.

STATO DI FORMA: Kajamini analizza anche lo stato di forma del gruppo: “Siamo usciti bene dalla Settimana Coppi e Bartali. Non è semplice raggiungere la forma migliore, ma abbiamo pianificato bene il lavoro, evitando (per alcuni) infortuni e ora stiamo bene e i risultati si vedono. Tornando ad oggi, speravo di ottenere un risultato ancora migliore, peccato che sia mancato poco per centrare l’obiettivo”.

IL TECNICO: In ammiraglia c’erano Gianluca Valoti e Rossella Dileo. “Ci sono diverse letture possibili sulla corsa odierna. Gli aspetti positivi sono stati dimostrare la nostra forza con Kajamini, Bracalente e Novak. Peccato per Mark Valent che ha forato nel momento decisivo. Nel complesso, una gara convincente”.

INFORTUNI: Il tecnico sottolinea anche l’allungamento dell’elenco degli infortunati. Lorenzo Nespoli non ha potuto partire a causa di una lussazione alla spalla subita nella caduta di ieri. “Abbiamo provato a farlo partire, ma la sua mobilità articolare non era sufficiente. Non riusciva a tenere il manubrio. Gli esami effettuati in ospedale hanno confermato la lussazione. Peccato perché Nespoli stava andando bene. Dovrà fermarsi per 10-15 giorni”.

Guardando al futuro, ora c’è subito il Trofeo Piva, una gara sempre difficile ma con salite più brevi rispetto al Recioto.

Kajamini and Novak excellent results at the Palio del Recioto: 5th and 6th

NEGRAR (VR): In the Palio del Recioto, an international race that takes place among the hills of Valpolicella, Florian Kajamini finished in an excellent 5th position, followed by Pavel Novak in 6th place. The MBH Colpack Ballan CSB team thus achieved 2 excellent placements in a highly competitive race, much to the satisfaction of team manager Antonio Bevilacqua, Gabor Deak, Beppe Colleoni, and the Ballan and D’Aprile families.

The competition, reserved for the Under 23 category and classified as a 1.2 UCI event, concluded with a sprint between two riders at the finish line in Negrar, a town renowned for its vineyards. The winner was Alessandro Pinarello, a cyclist from Treviso representing the VF Group Bardiani CSF Faizanè team, who beat Diego Pescador (GW Erco Shimano) to the line. The third position was secured by Sebastian Putz, an Austrian cyclist from the Tirol KTM Cycling Team, completing the podium. Kajamini and Novak were part of the chasing group, arriving 36 seconds behind, composed of 7 riders. The race covered a distance of 148 km, completed in 3 hours, 54 minutes, and 15 seconds, with an average speed of 37.985 km/h.

STATEMENTS: Here are the words of Kajamini, an Emilian athlete particularly strong in climbing, who is finding the right physical condition, as planned. “I am satisfied with this important placement; I felt in good shape since the morning, and we raced as a compact team. Personally, I tried to attack. I was in the front, but in the end, I suffered from cramps, possibly due to dehydration. When the attackers made their move, I had a moment of difficulty. I preferred not to take risks to avoid compromising the race, maintaining my pace. Shortly after, I managed to recover, and Novak helped me in the sprint. We entered the final curve in the top positions, achieving this excellent 5th place.” A prestigious result added to the one obtained in the Coppa San Geo last February. Kajamini adds some details about the race:

“We also worked very well on the descents, a skill I dedicated a lot of time to with the technicians. At least on dry roads, I feel improved. The race was very nervous, with many attacks and climbs. There was a lot of tension and falls; we also needed some luck to stay on our feet. I had difficult moments.” The Emilian also emphasizes the generosity of his teammates: “At a certain point, we worked to close the gap on the leading group, 30 km from the finish line. Pavel didn’t seem to be in good shape, but he made himself available to the team. In the end, he even stayed in the lead, showing his true talent.”

FORM CONDITION: Kajamini also analyzes the team’s physical condition: “We came out well from the Settimana Coppi e Bartali. It’s not easy to reach the best form, but we planned the work well, avoiding (for some) injuries, and now we are in good shape, and the results show. Coming back to today, I hoped to achieve an even better result; it’s a pity that we missed the target by just a little.”

THE COACH: In the support car were Gianluca Valoti and Rossella Dileo. “There are various possible interpretations of today’s race. The positive aspects were demonstrating our strength with Kajamini, Bracalente, and Novak. It’s a pity for Mark Valent, who punctured at a crucial moment. Overall, it was a convincing race.”

INJURIES: The coach also highlights the lengthening list of injuries. Lorenzo Nespoli could not start due to a shoulder dislocation suffered in yesterday’s fall. “We tried to start him, but his joint mobility was not sufficient. He couldn’t hold the handlebars. Examinations at the hospital confirmed the dislocation. It’s a pity because Nespoli was doing well. He will have to stop for 10-15 days.”
Looking ahead, the Trofeo Piva is next, a race that is always tough but with shorter climbs compared to the Recioto.
