In questi giorni sono giunte le conferme di vari organizzatori di gare ciclistiche e si procede alla calendarizzazione che prevede una serie importante di appuntamenti, sia in linea che nelle gare a tappe.“Abbiamo impostato un calendario di livello internazionale anche alla luce dell’ingresso di nuovi partner – afferma il team manager Antonio Bevilacqua – inoltre abbiamo 4 corridori che vengono da altre nazioni. 3 ungheresi e Pavel Novak che è ceco”.
“Ci sono molti impegni di prestigio – aggiunge il DS Gianluca Valoti – anche se non tralasciamo il calendario nazionale. Durante lo stage di Calpe affineremo la preparazione e, di comune accordo con Direttori Sportivi e coach, personalizzeremo il programma in base a caratteristiche fisiche, stato di forma e impegni di studio”.Questa è la sintesi degli impegni più prestigiosi da qui a giugno.
DEBUTTO: Come da tradizione si inizia con la 100^ Coppa SanGeo, in provincia di Brescia, del 24 febbraio. Nello stesso giorno si disputa la Firenze-Empoli. Difficile fare meglio dello scorso anno quando si vinse contemporaneamente con Davide Persico e Francesco Della Lunga.CON I PROF: Pochi giorni più tardi ci si sposta in Liguria, a Laigueglia, il 28 per il primo confronto stagionale con i corridori professionisti. Gli uomini veloci saranno invece allo Umag Trophy, il 28, Porec, il 3 marzo, l’Istrian Spring Trophy dal 7 al 10 marzo. Ci si sposta nel Nord Europa, in Olanda il 25 marzo, con lo Youngster Coast.
CLASSICHE: Aprile è invece il mese delle classiche italiane come il Trofeo Belvedere, 1° aprile, il Palio del Recioto, il 2, il Trofeo Piva, il 7. Si va in Francia e Belgio il giorno 7, la Paris-Roubaix U23, ed il 13 per la Liegi-Bastogne-Liegi. Altri appuntamenti di prestigio sono il Giro di Romagna, con i prof il 23, e poi a Roma per il GP Liberazione, vinto nel 2023 da Alessandro Romele.
GARE A TAPPE: La corsa a tappe più impegnativa è invece la Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali, organizzata dal GS Emilia di Adriano Amici, dal 19 al 23 marzo sull’Appennino emiliano. Il mese di maggio presenta 2 corse a tappe di prestigio come Ronde de l’Isard, 5 tappe sui Pirenei dall’1 al 5 maggio, che venne vinta da Andrea Bagioli nel 2019. La gara più attesa, soprattutto per i nuovi partner di MBH Bank, è quella che va dall’8 al 12 maggio: il Giro di Ungheria.
Seguirà un periodo in altura con la speranza di essere invitati al Giro Next Gen.
PRESENTAZIONE 2024: Ricordiamo che il primo appuntamento ufficiale, in Italia, è la presentazione del 14 febbraio.
READY FOR A NEW SPANISH TRAINING CAMP.
ALMÈ (BG): While awaiting the departure for the second Spanish training camp, scheduled from January 28 to February 12, the Team MBH Bank Colpack Ballan CSB is planning its competitive engagements for 2024. In these days, confirmations have been received from various organizers, and the scheduling is underway, including a significant series of events.
“We have established an internationally oriented calendar, especially in light of the entry of new partners,” says team manager Antonio Bevilacqua. “Additionally, we have 4 riders from other nations, 3 Hungarians, and Pavel Novak who is Czech. There are many prestigious commitments,” adds DS Gianluca Valoti, “although we do not overlook the national calendar. During the Calpe training camp, we will refine our preparation and, in agreement with Sports Directors and coaches, customize the program (based on physical characteristics, fitness status, and study commitments).”
Here is a summary of the most prestigious engagements from now until June.
DEBUT: Following tradition, it begins with the 100th Coppa SanGeo in the province of Brescia on February 24. On the same day, the Firenze-Empoli race takes place. It’s challenging to emulate last year when victory was achieved simultaneously by Davide Persico and Francesco Della Lunga.
WITH THE PRO: A few days later, the team moves to Liguria, Laigueglia, on the 28th for the first seasonal encounter with professional riders. The fast riders will, instead, participate in the Umag Trophy on the 28th, Porec on March 3, and the Istrian Spring Trophy from March 7 to 10. The team then heads to Northern Europe, the Netherlands, on March 25, for the Youngster Coast race.
CLASSICS: April is the month of Italian classics such as the Trofeo Belvedere on April 1, the Palio del Recioto on the 2nd, and the Trofeo Piva on the 7th. On the 7th, the team heads to France and Belgium for the Paris-Roubaix U23 and on the 13th for Liege-Bastogne-Liege. Other prestigious events include the Giro di Romagna with professionals on the 23rd and then to Rome for the GP Liberazione, won in 2023 by Alessandro Romele.
STAGE RACES: The most challenging stage race is the Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali, organized by GS Emilia of Adriano Amici, from March 19 to 23 in the Emilian Apennines. May features two prestigious stage races –Ronde de l’Isard, 5 stages in the Pyrenees from May 1 to 5, previously won by Andrea Bagioli in 2019. The most anticipated race, especially for the new partners of MBH Bank, is from May 8 to 12: the Tour of Hungary. Following that, a period at altitude with hopes of being invited to the Giro Next Gen.
2024 PRESENTATION: Remember that the first official appointment in Italy is the presentation on February 14.
